Braces for 2 months now

My daughter has braces for 2 months now and the denstist said that she needs to put two small screws on the lower jaw left and right molars in order to have a even bite.
Is it necessary to have the screw inplant? Is it going to be permanent?
Will the procedure cause so much pain?

These small screws are fairly common. Not everyone needs it, but depending on what type of bite your daughter has it may be the standard protocol of care for her orthodontic treatment. It will be no more uncomfortable than having braces already is for her. She will have to be careful about what she eats and how she cleans her teeth, but this is already the case. They will not be permanent. The orthodontist will remove them when treatment is complete.
