Canine tooth broken and removed

I have recently had my canine tooth removed - not a very comfitable extraction. It had a cap in place before it broke off. My dentist gave me two alternatives a bridge and a plate. The idea of the bridge was not encouraged due to the fact either side of the canine are crowns and may not give my bridge stability so I opted for the plate.

To extract my canine my dentist has made an incision in the gum to enable him to grip the broken tooth and remove. Now I have had it removed and the plate fitted I find my gum has an incision not stitched and have wondered - could I have had a crown fitted as I believe the root was healthy as it took almost 20 mints to extract and on inspection looked clean..

I suggest that you should pay a visit to your local dentist to check what is the problem about your teeth, and besides they know anything about those stuff.
