CBCT Images
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to see 3D pictures of a patient's mouth, rotate them, flip them and take as much time as required to assure that the implants you are placing are going to be just in the right place?
Not only that, but also be able to collect data and recreate images that one may need and not be available in the first image with coronal, axial, and sagittal views.
Now, would I be asking a lot if I kept the amount of radiation to a minimum compared to CT scans and?
That sounds like a "star wars" technology right?
Well, think again. This technology has been in The United States for about ten years now and it's marking the cutting edge on high tech dentistry.
CBCT offers high precision implant planning and comfort for the patient. Not mentioning the low dosage of radiation that the patient receives, which makes it ideal for craniofacial imaging.
Unfortunately, there are too few of these machines in The United States, most of them are in California.
