dental implant and health issues

I don't question about my dentists professional , ability and skill to perform a dental implant - he is one of the best as I have researched and he has done many of them but, my fear is that if dental implants can cause health complications that is "disguised" and not diagnosed , "caused" and " related" from having the dental implant..?!!

Like any surgery is unique and can have complications even the most simple one, I do fear that anything so non-reversible could happen .. nerve damages.. etc..
please help me with answers so, i can decide.

If you have faith in your dentist ,just go ahead nothing irreversible will happen if all is planned methodically
