Dental implant infection

Hi. I have some itching and irritation at the site of where my implant was placed. Is this normal? Does this mean I have an infection? Is this common? Any advice would be appreciated.

Like you I have itching and irritation at the site of a dental implant - it's drives me crazy and is constant. I am very concerned why this is happening. I have spoken to my implantologist and he says the implant has bonded well with the bone and everythings OK. If everythings OK then it should feel OK is what I think.

I am going to see a Periodontist but not 100% sure if he's the right person to advise me. I too, would appreciate any advice.
