This video was taken during dental continuing education classes at the dental implant training center in New Jersey.
The dental implant video shows the suggested sequence and technique to be used when taking an impression of a dental implant at the abutment level.
The sequence in the video:
Removing the cover screw from the Mis-Implants Seven model dental implant by using a hex driver.
Placing the abutment on the implant - using a hex driver.
Placing a plastic impression coping on the abutment.
Preparing the impression tray with the impression material.
Taking the impression and removing the tray when the material is dry.
Placing a comfort cap on the abutment - sending the patient home.
Getting the impression tray ready to be sent out to the lab for casting the model.
The final model will replicate the patients jaw , teeth and will include an exact replica of the implant with the abutment connected to it.
