Failed attempt at TAD insertion by Ortho

A Failed attempt at TAD insertion by Ortho :
my ortho attempted to insert a tad and could not get it into the bone because it was extremely painful. He said he needed to move the position of the tooth so that he could place the tad away from the PDI.

I have to wait 3 weeks for this. But I was left with a large hole in my gum that is now white and puffy and appears to be infected. Should I be worried?
