How much longer will the pain last?

I just had two implants on my bottom jaw. one on the left side, one on the right. I don't remember what numbers, but anyway- on the left side, the screw is sticking out and causing an intense amount of pain, unless I take my pain medicine. On the right side, you cant see the screw and their is no pain at all anymore.

Why is this? How much longer will the pain last? I ran out of my perscribed pain medicine, so I went to the store and bought some extra strength pain medicine.

Pain on Implant Site

I'm not sure how many days it's been since you had your implant placed, but if your pain medication just ran out I'm assuming it was only a few days ago. It is still common to have some discomfort. Make sure you are following home care instructions accurately and not smoking or drinking through any straws. Cleanse the area the way your implant specialist has prescribed, and as often as prescribed. You may take some ibuprophen/Motrin unless you are allergic to it, and expect some discomfort for about 2 weeks time since the implant was placed.

pain and screw showing. NEW

This may not be your problem, but when I have the symptoms you describe the screw that was put in to cap the implant was working it's way out. It eventually fell out and I had to have a new one put in. My surgeon double checked all of the four implant caps and made sure they were all snug. One month later it happened again with another screw.
I'm not sure why this is happening, but when things start to hurt I now suspect I need some help.
