Implant abutments: I am a dental technology student - doing a report on implants and precision attachments. I would like to know wich type of abutment is most suitble for implants for partial dentures, and what is the difference between implant abutment and tooth abutment.

Abutments

A metal abutment(titanium,gold) would be more suitable to carry the load of a partial. An implant abutment is the part that attaches to the implant and a tooth abutment is usually the prepped tooth on a bridge.
