Implant Crown/Abutment

The implant crown came off. The implant abutment is still on the implant, however, it looks as if one side of metal is missing.

What will the replacement consist of doing? Can the crown be glued back on?

See restoring dentist for replacement
by: Dr. Lee

It is best advised to go back to your restoring doctor to have the crown replaced, or to have a new crown fitted. Which tooth is it? Part of your abutment is not likely missing, so much as you're seeing what the abutment looks like after it has been prepped to suit the crown. Often, the buccal side of the abutment will be flat. Please see your doctor for the best options for you.
