is it normal to tighten an implant after 2 years

I have one dental implant and after 2 years The crown came out while I was eating. I went back to the dentist and he said that it is normal because he used temporary cement,
And I asked him to put the permanent cement but he recommended the temporary again!

Before he installed the crown back he tightened the implant , he mentioned that this procedure is common , but after that and since two days from the visit still there is pain in the bone and I don’t’ fell comfort.

Please - can some one tell me is it normal to tighten an implant after 2 years and is it essential to use the temporary cement for installing crown ?

CEMENTED IMPLANT NEW

I recently had an implant in the front tooth.
Once the implant is screwed into the jawbone and the tooth is cemented into the implant it can't move.
It should definately have been permanently cemented. If it is temporarily cemented it can come off. The reason for the implant is it should be a replacement for a real tooth.
I would surely have it permanently cemented or you will continue to have dental appointments when they could be avoided.

Actually in the first visit he tightens the abutment not the implant before installing the restoration.
While he applied the permanent cement which he is no recommending, after one day the tissue got inflamed hardly and I suffered from a severe pain around the area,
I went back again after 5 days; he said that there was excess cement around the abutment, that is way the inflammation happened,
What he performed during this visit:
1) He removed out the crown, (Luckily this step finished without any damages).
2) Then he removed the abutment,
3) He checked the implant pocket, (the inspection happened with practical metal peace also with Radiology). The pocket was found around 0.5 mm.
4) Then he purged the area then he installed a new heeling cap, (the cap was recommended to control the tissue shape around the area).
5) No he is suggesting to keep the things as it is, then after one week he need to fix a new abutment with other dimension, (the recent is shorter).
6) Then he will take a new assessment for a new crown.
Please someone can advise me about the above mentioned procedure.

I think the follow up comment you posted about your dentist's plan sounds good. I agree the inflammation was due to excess cement - sometimes this can just be cleaned off, but since it felt wrong your dentist probably decided to re-seat it again later to see if it could be adjusted.

Even a variance of .5mm in something can feel significant when it comes to your mouth. After a couple of weeks we can normally adjust to these things where they feel normal. If it still doesn't, he may decide to adjust the abutment ever so slightly before putting the crown back on.

YES IT CAN BE LITTLE COMMON TO SAY THAT CROWN COMES OUT BUT NOW PLEASE GET OCCLUSION ADJUSTED AND GET YOUR CROWN CEMENTED PERMANENTLY BY RESIN CEMENT.
PAIN IS DUE TO GINGIVITIS, INFLAMMATION AROUND IMPLANT ABUTMENT ,THIS COULD BE THE REASON FOR CROWN POPPING OUT ,PLEASE TAKE AN XRAY TO SEE IF IMPLANT HAS NOT FRACTURED OF SCREW LOOSENING HAS NOT TAKEN PLACE,SEND THE XRAY ON THIS SITE OR PICTURE MORE WE CAN ANSWER AND SEND YOU TO ACCREDITED DENTIST IN SAUDI
