Loose Dental Implant
I had an implant about 6 years. I went to the doctor for cleaning and he indicated that I had gum infection around the implant. He had an x-ray done and then aggressively cleaned the gum around the implant. His conclusion was that the implant was loose (I did not notice) and that the bone mass around the tooth was deteriorating. The next steps should be - clean infection with antibiotics, take the implant out, heal, do the bone implant in a couple of months and then go for a new dental implant in about 6 months. After the cleaning the implant is getting looser every day. I do not understand how it could all happen in just one day! Any advise?
