Loose Implant

Implant is so loose - it feels like its going to fall out. Impossible to chew or eat any kind of food at this point. It could also be infected.

Is it okay to pull it out myself?

Hi Jo,

I would highly advise not pulling the implant out yourself. You never know what type of pathology may be involved or associated with the post that could be complicated with taking the post out. Go directly to your implant specialist and have them look at it. Most likely if it is that loose they will take it out and you will wonder why you couldn't do it yourself, but they can make sure you're free of infection and prescribe any medications if necessary.
