Numbness (similar to the effects of freezing) in the same lower jaw area

My wife had a jawbone buildup two weeks ago and one implant inserted in her lower right jaw. The dental surgeon has had her in for a checkup and says healing is coming along fine. She will return for another checkup in 3 weeks.

Her problem is: she is experiencing "numbness' (similar to the effects of freezing) in the same lower jaw area and about one inch of her lower right lip. Is this unusual and will it eventually go away?

Don?t worry - it is very common to get numbness after extensive surgery as long as it is not paining, some nerves in that area could have been injured ,it will be alright! Just take Neuorobion tablets daily for a week
