Re-entry

Hi Barry,

This is referring to the procedure that is performed after the implant has been allowed to heal and establish itself in the mouth. What happens is that your implant specialist will "surgically re-enter" or uncover the post that has been covered by the gums, so that the crown can be cemented to it ( "permanent abutment placement" ).

Basically it's exposing the implant post that is covered in gum tissue, so that the crown can be affixed.
