Surgically remove the tooth and replace it with an implant

My 20 year old daughter has tooth no 15 (12 year molar on top) that is impacted. All other 12 year molars are all out and fine.

Her dentist wants to surgically remove the tooth and replace it with an implant. I am not sure if we should leave the tooth or have it removed?

Implant Placement

If it is impacted and during removal there is a chance of bone loss ,better remove the tooth and graft the area and wait for 4 weeks before placing the implant
