My 16 year old daughter has braces and just had to have two baby teeth pulled (side molars on the bottom -- that had cavities). It was already determined that she would have implants put there, as she is missing 4 teeth. The orthodontist has moved her upper teeth so that no implants will be needed there.
My question is, will the orthodontist put something in the space where the teeth were until she is ready for the implants - at 18 years? Or, will the spaces remain? She is almost finished with her orthodontia treatment. I am worried about the space remaining until she is old enough for the implants.
Thanks!

Fixture Mount/Transfer is a multifunctional post that is pre-attached to the dental implant by the manufacturer. Initially, the component is used to deliver the implant to the osteotomy and functions as a fixture mount to thread the implant into place.
After implant is fully in, the fixture mount functions as an impression post for an immediate, aseptic impression that is made directly over the exposed bone to suturing.
The component is then removed from the implant, attached to an implant analog and reinserted into the impression to complete the transfer.

When i was a kid my laterals were extracted and they didn’t develop again. I was about 17 when i decided to have the dental implant surgery. But before the operation i needed to have orthodontic treatment.
Also 2 of my wisdom teeth were extracted. After 4 years of treatment i had the dental implant surgery. I got 2 implants and the surgery lasted about 2,5 hours. The surgery was not worse than extracting of the wisdom teeth but emotionally it was disturbing.
After the operation I didn’t want to challenge my implants for about a year. After that i started to eat hard things like apple, etc. Now i am happy with my dental implants and i can recommend it if you need.
I hove a problem with metal. I can't wear jewlery. What about the metal going into my jaw? I don't know what to do.I know If I get A bridge they use metal crowns. I need advice.
