Would getting a bridge be quicker than the 3 to 9 months for the full implant procedure?
A week ago my mother fell and impacted 5 of her front teeth. She is in fairly good health but is 96 years old. Given the fact that implanting would probably be more invasive than a bridge I am wondering which would be better for her.
We went to a dentist who x-rayed her teeth and referred us to an oral surgeon for extraction due to her advanced age. We are seeing the oral surgeon tomorrow. How do I factor her relatively short remaining life span into the pros and cons?
Would getting a bridge be quicker than the 3 to 9 months for the full implant procedure? If we choose implants would she be able to eat solid foods during the 3 to 9 months of healing?
I am looking for the solution that will give her the best quality of life in the shortest possible time.
