The following x-ray shows an interesting restoration. A crown was built on top of 2 implants. This was possibly done because there was need for a solid and strong foundation for a tooth that was bearing strong loads (molar or premolar).

Dental implants are made of titanium which osseointegrates with the bone. Osseointegrates means - it biologically bonds to the bone. In the images you can see how bone grew around the dental implants and bonded to them.
